Here are a few tips to keep in mind:
* Make sure your BBQ is away from your house.
* Make sure your gas lines for your BBQ are in good condition.
* Make sure your BBQ is clean and in good working condition.
*Keep all debris away from the BBQ.
* Start your mower outside to prevent accidental carbon monoxide accidents.
* When fueling your mower make sure you clean up any spilled gas.
* Make sure the gas cap is tight.
* If you are using an extension cord, make sure it is in good condition.
* Make sure the outlets you plug into are in good condition.
* Don't overload your extension cord with electrical items.
*Position the ladder properly before climbing.
* Face the ladder while climbing up and down.
*Maintain 3 points of contact while climbing. Two hands, one foot.
*Check for powerlines above you.
*Place the ladder on a stable, solid surface.
* You have been using your furnace all winter, now is a good time to clean it out.
* Change your filters.
*Vacuum out your furnace, removing collected dust and dirt.
*Check exhaust venting from the furnace.
*Make sure there is no debris around the furnace.
* Over winter unwanted items can collected.
* These Items can be a fire hazard.
* They can block exits.
*They can create a haven for unwanted rodents.
